Shaphat Outreach will join the annual celebration of Wear Orange Day. This special event honors the memory of those affected by gun violence and stands in solidarity against this devastating problem.

Shaphat Outreach proudly participates in Wear Orange Day, an annual event honoring the memory of Hadiya Pendleton and the thousands of others who have been affected by gun violence. Wear Orange originated in 2013, when Hadiya's friends wore the color orange to commemorate her life after she was tragically shot and killed on a playground in Chicago. The color orange is traditionally worn by hunters to protect themselves and others, and has since been adopted as a symbol of solidarity and remembrance on Wear Orange Day, which takes place every June. By wearing orange, we honor the memory of Hadiya and all those who have lost their lives to gun violence, and stand together in the fight against this devastating problem.
